Images - Upload and Insert Into an Article or Module
Last Updated (Thursday, 24 April 2008 16:34)
Images can be inserted into any Article or Module on your site.
Before uploading, images should be sized and cropped and otherwise photoshopped in a photo software application then saved on your computer. Photoshop functions are not available to you once uploaded. While the size of the image is totally subjective, you will generally want to keep images to a size no greater than 500 pixels wide. An image this wide would take up most of the width of your front page.
Prepare a folder in the Media Manager.
It might prove beneficial for you to create one or more folders in which to insert your images, especially if you anticipate uploading a number of images that can be categorized. If you do not create new folders, all of your images will upload to the Stories Folder by default. Further, all of the images are accessed through the Stories Folder, so you will be directed to create folders within the Stories Folder as follows:
- Login to your administration site
- From the Control Panel, click on the Media Manager icon
- Click on the Stories Folder to open it

- Type in a new folder name (no spaces) into the Create bar at the top right

- Click the Create button
You will see your newly created folder among the files.
